Enzyme and Digestion Matters

Build Intestinal Digestive Fitness and Experience RELIEF! Digestion is not only a vital matter for the 76 million baby boomers (present company included). It's a serious societal issue. Granted, we are living longer, but not necessarily healthier – 80 million Americans are diagnosed with digestive disorders. The challenge is to assure we do everything possible to maintain quality of life by adding life to our years, not just years to our life. The fact is, digestive enzymes are a key – they are the *Spark of Life*! When the body doesn't properly digest and absorb what you eat, you lose essential nutrients that fuel other major body functions causing a chain reaction of disorders. Digestion is complex; it begins with breaking-down food through chewing, and progresses into a chemical reaction (enzyme activity), facilitating further break-down of food particles resulting in microscopic pieces that cross the gut membrane and enter the bloodstream. The digestive system is miraculous – when its operating systems are intact and working in harmony. The mere process of aging and modern dietary lifestyles (over-processing and over-cooking) depletes enzyme reserves within the body. After age 40, the body's natural ability to produce enzymes steadily declines. One way to insure adequate enzymes is to eat a balanced raw diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Remember that foods lose their enzyme vitality when subjected to heat above 118 degrees. Another way is to take high quality, digestive enzymes. Discomfort Matters Considering that antacids are the number-one over-the-counter supplements in the United States, our country is in serious digestive distress. Discomfort (heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, constipation) should not be the only reasons for supplementing with digestive enzymes; at that juncture we are merely reacting to the body's warning system that something is wrong. Enzyme Matters Using a “prized package” of enzymatic support equates to an enzyme blend that includes a vegetarian blend of enzymes for each specific phase of digestion – soothing the gastrointestinal tract, supporting nutrient absorption, and aiding elimination. Quality of Life Matters We're living longer, and to that end, we need to use a variety of measures to enhance our physical fitness and promote healthy longevity – fitness has many faces, intestinal digestive fitness being one of the most vital. Using a professional enzyme blend is your assurance the road you build to health is paved with good digestion for what matters – your quality of life, naturally.
